A video has gone viral after a man pulled out an enormous piece of thread that had been stuck in his neck – leaving TikTok viewers in shock.

Caleast, from Tyrol, Austria, works in administration for public services and used to be a magician.

In a video shared to his TikTok (@caleast.at) he reveals one memento which appears to have been left behind from his old hobby.

The clip starts with Caleast saying "what is this", before grabbing a pair of tweezers and pulling at what looks like a small hair poking out the side of his neck.

The ex-magician can be heard breathing heavily as he ends up ditching the tweezers and pulls at it with his fingers, revealing a long strand of thread.

The piece of thread then becomes so long he tries to wrap it round his finger to bring out the last bit.

The video racked up over 36.2 million views as well as 1.8 million likes and plenty of comments where viewers shared their reactions.

“Bro! That’s a guitar cord,” one viewer commented.

Another person joked: “I feel like he was about to involuntarily say 'there’s a snake in my boots'."

“Holy d*mn that was actually a really long hair,” someone else wrote.

One viewer commented: “That's that girl from Ring."
