A hero daughter was almost mown down as she tried to stop a gang of robbers from raiding her dad’s factory in broad daylight. Chloe Fowler, 28, bravely stood in front of the crooks’ getaway car as they sped out of the warehouse after stealing steel axles worth £400. The three thieves had brazenly pulled into AED Rollers in Brierley Hill, West Mids., posing as customers at 12.30pm last Tuesday (10/5). CCTV shows the driver waiting for workers to leave the area before sneaking steel axles into the boot of the grey Vauxhall Zafira. He then leapt into the driving seat and sped off with the back door open as workers tried to stop him. Chloe, who is a manager at the firm which is run by her dad Phil Bevan, is seen standing in front of the car with her hands on the bonnet. Shockingly, the driver rams her backwards around 30ft before she manages to dodge to the side of the car as it careers out of the factory. Chloe escaped with minor bruises after the robbery and was hailed a hero by her proud dad. She said: “There were three of them in the car and were posing as customers. “The driver got out and grabbed a bundle of steel axles we use for doors. They are worth around £400 but they’ll get about £50 for them for scrap. “I didn’t really think at the time but I just wanted to stop them. I instinctively stood in front of the car and tried to push it back. "I just panicked and thought how can I stop them, but they just carried on driving. "I didn't realise how far they pushed me with the car. "I didn't want to see the footage afterwards as I was so shocked at what happened." Dad Phil blasted the crooks, branding them "dangerous thugs". He said: "Chloe was almost run over trying to stop the theft. "These thugs are dangerous and Chloe is not only extremely brave, but could have easily been knocked to the ground and run over. "They clearly had no concern for anyone’s safety." The gang are believed to have raided another factory nearby days before the raid.
