Nineteen people were seriously injured after their car crashed and overturned on the roadside in Myanmar.

Passersby rushed to rescue the passengers inside the Isuzu vehicle, which was found burning on the side of the Mandalay - Pyin Oo Lwin highway on May 14.

The overcrowded vehicle was said to have been carrying around 30 people when it flipped over. No other cars were reportedly involved in the accident.

Twelve men and seven women were seriously injured from the crash. They have been taken to the hospital for treatment.

There were no initial reports of casualties, and it is still unclear what caused the accident.
