This footage, which was filmed on May 19, in the town of Ferozepur Jhirka, India's state of Haryana, features images of wheat workers, wheat fields, and many bags full of this cereal.

India has banned wheat export in order to address issues ranging from lower-than-expected production to soaring inflation.

With the war in Ukraine exacerbating these conditions, the Indian government decided to halt the export to control its food security and support the needs of the neighboring countries.

India is the world's second-largest producer of wheat. The recent government move has destabilised markets. Global buyers had been banking on India for supplies after exports from the Black Sea region dropped since Russia's invasion of Ukraine in late February.

Linda Thomas-Greenfield, the United States ambassador to the United Nations, raised concerns over India's decision. She warned that India's ban could worsen the global food crisis.
