Miraculous rescue for toad that found itself stuck in drain cap in southern India
A toad that had got stuck to a drain cap, was rescued by a team of Good Samaritans in southern India's Telangana.
The rescue was carried out in Chanda Nagar city of Ranga Reddy district on May 16.
Visuals showed one of the rescuers carefully lifting the amphibian and examining its condition. The toad had pushed its head through a gap on the drain cap and got stuck.
Fortunately, the rescuer was able to free the toad. Once freed, the amphibian tried to jump out, but could not as the rescuer did not let it go. He wanted to make sure that the distressed toad was healthy.
The man put the toad in a bowl of water and let the latter go once he was sure that it was healthy.
The toad was seen leaping around after it was freed.
Rescuers from the Animal Warriors Conservation Society, identified as Pradeep, Sanjeev Varma and Amar, took part in the rescue.
