This is the touching moment a wildlife expert from Israel reunited a lost baby bat with its mother.

According to The Israeli Bat Sanctuary, the tiny mammal fell off its mother in the middle of a crowded street in Tel Aviv on May 21 and began crying out for help.

Passers-by called the wildlife charity which sent an experienced volunteer.

She first checked the baby bat was healthy and then stood for over an hour holding the bat with her arm stretched out waiting for the mother to approach.

After a long wait, the adult female landed on the volunteer and the two bats were reunited before flying off safely together.

The amazing volunteer first checked to see baby bat is well and healthy, and then stood for over an hour, hand streched out, waiting for bat mom to gather the courage to approach the human. The tenacious mother bat refused to give up on her baby. After a very long time examining the situation from above, batmom swooped down and landed in the hands of the volunteer. The lady gave the brave mother a quick check to verify she's well enough to tend to her baby, and that she produces milk. Volunteer then makes sure little baby is secure and holding tight to it's mommy, and sets them free, back to nature, to live a long happy life.
