A visitor to a national park in Kenya captured the rare moment an elephant chased away several hippos so it could enter the water.

Nicolas Urlacher was filming the smaller creatures at Amboseli National Park on May 14 when the massive bull elephant decided to throw his considerable weight around.

"Twenty hippos, more or less, were resting in the water in a deep part of the swamp," said Urlacher.

"The elephant didn't hesitate one second and went into the water and pushed away some hippos with its trunk and tusks," he added.

"You can only do that to hippos if you weigh eight tonnes," he joked.

20 hippos, more or less, were resting in the water in a deep part of the swamp in Amboseli National Park when a big Elephant bull came and wanted to go into the water where they were. Some of the hippos went away since the beginning but the other ones stayed. The elephant did'nt hesitate one second and went into the water and pushed away some hippos with its trunk and tusks. The hippos didn't react agressively and had no choice but going away... Only if you weigh 8 tons you can do that to hippos!
