Car smashes into BBQ shop after motorist falls asleep at the wheel in China
A car smashed into a barbecue shop after the motorist fell asleep at the wheel in northern China.
CCTV footage filmed in the city of Tangshan in Hebei Province on May 17 shows a car suddenly smashing into a barbecue at night.
According to the shop owner Mr Du, the motorist nodded off and pressed the accelerator and he did not wake up until the car smashed through the shop's wall.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported. The loss was more than 50,000 yuan (£6,000) and the compensation is being dealt with.
