A herd of elephants walked towards a village from a national park in Sri Lanka.

The incident happened on May 25 at the Kalawewa National Park in North Central Province.

Visuals show the pachyderms walking across the national park which was flooded with water as a result of the rainfall.

Due to the water getting flooded at the national park, there's no food available at the venue for which these elephants have to move to the village.

The pachyderms reportedly caused havoc in the adjacent villages, often wrecking houses and even killing people.
