Sheerness Town Council which removed plastic bunting placed above streets for the Queen's Platinum Jubilee weekend after 'noise' complaints from nearby residents - now appears to have performed a swift 'u-turn' - after new fabric bunting was seen above the town's high streets this evening (May 30).

Some residents previously complained the plastic bunting was unbearably noisy.

Scaffolding was also seen around the town center clock tower which is under going last minute finishing touches after being extensively refurbished 'just-in-time' for the jubilee weekend at a cost of £160,000 by clock specialists Smith of Derby especially for the Queen's Platinum Jubilee.
