An explorer has left TikTok users in awe after sharing his discovery of an abandoned McDonald's – left untouched since the 80s.

It's been a while since Happy Meals were served in this fast food venue but remnants of its past still remain including vintage drinks machines, old equipment and even pink and blue seating.

Shared with NeedToKnow by an urban explorer from the US who would preferred to be known by his moniker, Triangle Of Mass (@trianglemass), a video of the eerie scene has gone viral online.

The clip from the explorer, who has been fascinated by abandoned buildings since he was just seven years old, has racked up over 629,000 views and 116,000 likes.

He found the location with the help of another content creator known as ADHD Urbex, after a friend gave him a tip on the location.

The video, which features the Paul Anka song "Put Your Head on My Shoulder", begins by showing the quirky 80s interior, still set up and ready for customers to enjoy their burgers and fries.

The explorer then pans to the old counter, where the tills would have been, with fridges and shelves left behind in the back.

An old drinks machine can be seen in the video, as well as old, yellow, TV monitors and labels for french fries.

Additionally, there is an old hot chocolate machine designed with the phrase 'Always fresh, always here', which looks barely worn in addition to old paper and packaging bags.

"Inside was insane just to think all that’s left there over the years collecting dust," TriangleOfMass, told NeedToKnow.online.

"To think people use to work there and eat there and the memories shared here at this McDonald’s once is just crazy to me!"

The footage from the urban explorer has sparked nostalgia among viewers online.

One viewer said: "Omg that bag is sooo nostalgic, memory lane." [sic]

While another commented: "The little TVs! This is amazing I remember this," followed by a crying emoji. [sic]

"Reminds me of Taco Bell back then too, the color scheme," another social media user said.

Someone else joked: "I bet their ice cream machine works," followed by a laughing emoji. [sic]

"I remember when the dining area looked like that!," said another viewer.

"I love this, I wish some McDonald's and other fast food chains would have stayed like this, it's so cool!" said someone else.
