A fearless diver swam with carnivorous sharks as big as him.

Aerial done footage shows the swimmer gliding alongside the nurse sharks in Dhiggiri, Maldives on May 16.

The tourist diver kept his distance and swam back to the surface when the bigger sharks began swimming in his direction.

Tourist Joseph Delin said swimming with sharks required knowledge or you might risk becoming dinner.

He said: ‘Shark knowledge is a must because it might be dangerous. You should know how to approach or how they feed if you don’t want to become their dinner.

‘Neve touch them unless you need to push them away when they try to get close to you.’

Nurse sharks are mostly harmless to humans as they are slow-moving bottom sea dwellers. However, the predators have strong jaws with thousands of serrated teeth and will attack when they feel threatened.
