Female passenger slips while boarding train, brave cop saves life in western India
A daring cop saves the life of a woman who slipped while boarding a train in western India's Maharashtra.
The incident took place at the Nagpur railway station on May 29.
Visuals, captured on a CCTV camera, showed a few people getting on a moving train. After a few seconds, two women were seen running towards the gate of a compartment.
One of the women hurriedly tried to get inside the train but instead slipped and fell on the platform. A cop was seen rushing toward the victim and pulling her away from the train.
The other woman was seen screaming and beating her chest.
According to reports, the name of the woman saved by the cop is CP Sarena, who slipped while boarding train No. 12621 Nagpur Railway Station at platform number 01. She was carrying some containers on her left hand and tried to hang on to the train with her right.
Jawahar Singh, a Railway Protection Force (RPF) inspector was the cop who saved the woman.
