Three were spotted stealing at a jewellery shop in central India's Madhya Pradesh.

The incident happened on May 29 in the town of Padra in Sidhi.

CCTV footage captured the three women, who had initially arrived at the shop on the pretext of buying anklets. The shopkeeper's mother and nephew were at the shop at that time.

The shopkeeper's mother takes out several trays of anklets to show these women. The three examine the jewellery on the trays and video footage captures them slowly sliding one of them under the table and stealing it.

According to a report, the shopkeeper discovered that one of the trays with anklets of about 500gm (1.102 lbs) was missing from the shop.

With the help of the CCTV footage, the shopkeeper registered a case against these three women at the Jamodi police station.

The police have begun investigating this issue.
