An alert cop with the help of another, saved the life of a passenger, who slipped while trying to board a moving train in northern India's Delhi.

The incident took place at the New Delhi railway station, serving the national capital, on June 2.

Visuals showed the man trying to board the train and slipping. Noticing the peril, the alert cop chases the man and manages to drag him to safety, as the train sped away.

The passenger has been identified as Vinod Sharma, 29, who was trying to board the Shramjeevi SF Express from platform number 8.

The passenger was late and by the time he reached the platform, the train had started to move. However, he decided to risk his life and board the locomotive.

Fortunately for him, RPSF constable Pawan Kumar rose to the occasion and saved him from a fatal accident.

Despite repeated warning from the law enforcement, passengers frequently put their life at risk by opting to either board or deboard from moving trains.
