A male elephant ventured out from the deep forest in search of love in Sri Lanka.

The incident took place at the Kalawewa National Park in Anuradhapura District of North Central Province on June 3.

Visuals showed a liquid secreting from around one of the ears of the pachyderm, indicating that it is in musth.

For the uninitiated, musth is a periodic condition in male elephants that is characterized by highly aggressive behavior. There is also a rise in reproductive hormones.

The pachyderm also sprayed dirt on its body, as it stood alone, waiting for love.
