This is the moment a pair of hero dogs saved their injured owner and his toddler daughter from a deadly cobra.

The canines were greeting their owner Ying Chayapar, 30, as he carried his daughter, Tao, on a motorcycle in Chaiyaphum province, Thailand, on June 2.

CCTV shows how the brave pooches spotted the venomous snake hiding behind a plant pot. They then began barking at the reptile, alerting Tao to its presence.

Terrified, the worker backed away slowly while the cobra was distracted. With the snake's attention diverted, he quickly grabbed his two-year-old daughter and hobbled away on his crutch.

Footage shows how the angry snake raised its head and tried to lunge at one of the dogs, which continued yapping to scare away the snake.

Relieved Ying said: 'The snake could have easily bitten me or my daughter. I had an injured leg so would not have been able to run away from it.

'I'm so surprised at how protective the dogs were. I think they were looking out for me and my daughter. They are so loyal.'

No one was injured from the incident, and the cobra eventually slithered away into the wilderness.
