Three loyal pet cats helped catch a cobra that invaded their owner's home.

The felines hunted the snake when they spotted it slithering across a yard in Saraburi province, Thailand on May 25.

Local rescue team members were called on the scene when the pet owner found snakeskin in the kitchen.

Footage shows a snake wrangler trapping the snake while the cats helped hunt the intruder out of its hiding place.

Rescuer Tor Phayranhan, 33, said: ‘These cats are so loyal and fierce. Most house pets would hide in the sight of a wild snake, but these cats were even pursuing it out of the property.'

The 4ft-long snake was found under a large water jar and lured out by the volunteer.

It was placed inside a mesh net and taken for release, while the proud pet owner thanked the team for coming.
