A heavy armed police presence was seen in Berlin after a car was driven into a crowd of pedestrians, killing a teacher and injuring 14 children on June 8.

Footage shows the scene cordoned off the Kurfürstendamm street where a silver Renault Clio crashed onto the pavement and through the glass window of a shop.

Another clip shows the feet of the teacher killed in the incident.

Officials have stated that it is unclear whether the incident was deliberate or an accident.

A 29-year-old man who has dual German and Armenian citizenship has been arrested, according to police.

One person has been killed and numerous other people have been injured as a car is driven into a crowd in Berlin's busy Kurfürstendamm shopping street.
The car was driven into a crowd of people before continuing a further 200 metres down the road before crashing into a shop front. The driver of the vehicle has been arrested. It has not been confirmed if it is a terror related incident.

The incident takes place right next to the location of where the 2016 terror attack was carried out, in which a lorry was driven into a crowd at a Christmas market and 12 people killed. The Islamic state later claimed responsibility for that attack.
