A 16-year-old identified as Sadhna in northern India was charged with killing his mother and locking his sister inside their home after allegedly shooting his mother over her objections to his excessive playing of mobile games.

The incident came to light on June 8 in Lucknow, India, after police were told by neighbors that a stench was emanating from the home.

His mother objected to his incessant playing of the mobile game PlayersUnderground Battlegrounds, which angered the young man enough to shoot her with his father's gun.

The dad was not home as he was working as security guard in a nearby city.

The suspected gaming-addict-cum-killer teen played a game of cricket with his friends after reportedly shooting his mother and locking away his sister.

The incident came to light on 8th June . The boy after killing his mother his the body for two days threatening his sister not reveal anyone about this. According to police officials the lady was shot on the intervening night of June 3-4 .
According to police after the incident he locked his younger sister in another room , the incident came to light after peole living in the area complained about stench from the house .
According to police after murder he went to play cricket with his friends , his father is a security personnel posted in other city .
The boy is now in police custody .
