This inspirational student is learning how to write despite being born with no arms.

First-grader Sai Om Ngai, 8, uses his feet to take notes while learning the Shan language in his home village of Wan Lone in Myanmar's Shan State.

Footage from June 1 shows the diligent boy writing on the paper using his left foot, dexterously manouevring his toes to grasp his pencil while leaning forward to better see his writing.

Sai said: 'I need to do the school work just like my friends. I have to do the homework, too. That's why I learned to write with my feet.

'I hope that one day I can go to university. I want to work in America with Elon Musk. He is my hero.'

Sai was born without his upper limbs, but perseveres despite the difficulties of his condition. He is part of a 28-student class learning together in the school in the Laihka township.
