Dozens of teams paraded their designs for The Great Knaresborough Bed Race on June 11.

Timelapse footage shows the creative designs contestants came up with ranging from the Pixar film character WALL-E to a series of wind farm-themed floats.

The Great Knaresborough Bed Race is a traditional event that begin in 1966 where contestants dress themselves and design a bed. The last race took place in 2019 due to the pandemic.

They are then tasked with racing on a 2.4-mile course through the town all while carrying their bed. The course even takes them through the River Nidd.

This year, 90 teams took part and raised money for charity in the process.
