World Day Against Child Labour 2022: Each year on June 12, the United Nations observes the 'World Day Against Child Labour' to bring attention and integrate the efforts to combat the evil of child labour. The World Day Against Child Labour aims to foster the worldwide movement against child labour. The International Labour Organization (ILO), the United Nations body that regulates the world of work launched the World Day Against Child Labour in 2002.
Children around the world are routinely engaged in paid and unpaid forms of work that are not harmful to them. However, they are classified as child labourers when they are either too young to work, or are involved in hazardous activities that may compromise their physical, mental, social or educational development.
