A construction worker with one leg inspired onlookers as he mixed heavy cement on a building site

Rolly Ronatay was seen shovelling a pile of gravel to mix with cement in Albay province, the Philippines on June 4.

The diligent worker did so while balancing his hip on a crutch as he could not afford a proper prosthetic leg.

Even after losing a leg due to an industrial accident, the father-of-three continued to work and provide for his family when his injuries healed.

He said: ‘I am taking care of my children and parents. Even after losing my leg, I am grateful that I was able to work and become productive with the help of God.'

The worker is now saving up for new legs but he added that he's prioritising the needs of his family.
