Hardworking locals swept up piles of ash left by the eruption of Bulusan Volcano in the Philippines.

Footage shows the masked workers cleaning up the streets as passing vehicles kicked up clouds of dust on the road in Sorsogon province on June 12.

The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology detected a phreatic or steam-driven eruption at Bulusan Volcano on June 5, and again on June 12.

The subsequent ashfall has triggered evacuations in surrounding villages as authorities have raised an Alert Level 1 over the volcano indicating 'low levels of volcanic unrest.'
