A motorcycle rider crashed on the road after Bulusan Volcano erupted in the Philippines, blanketing the area in an ash haze that reduced visibility.

Footage shows the motorist apparently tripping over a road bump and falling over in Sorsogon province on June 12. Luckily, he did not collide with other vehicles, and was quickly assisted by concerned onlookers who stopped traffic to pull him out of the street.

The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology detected a phreatic or steam-driven eruption at Bulusan Volcano on June 5, and again on June 12.

The subsequent ashfall has triggered evacuations in surrounding villages as authorities have raised an Alert Level 1 over the volcano indicating 'low levels of volcanic unrest.'
