A passenger slipped in the gap between a moving train and a platform in Mumbai, Maharashtra.

CCTV footage from June 11 captured the moment a police officer sprung into action and sprinted towards the endangered man at Bandra Terminus railway station.

As the train slowed down, people on the platform were able to pull the passenger out of the gap.

A man slipped while boarding a train in western India's Maharashtra.

The incident happened on platform 5 at the Bandra Terminus railway station on June 11.

CCTV captured the chilling moment the man slipped while getting on the train. He seemed to board the train completely but appeared to slip inside, which then resulted in him falling out and getting in the gap between the vehicle and the platform.

The people standing there and a cop immediately rushed for help but he remained stuck in the gap and moved in the train's direction. At the same time, he clung on to the train using one of his hands.

He was then taken out of the gap when the train was slowed down. A policeman along with a person on the platform pulled him out by his hands. He was placed on the platform.

The man appeared to be in an unconscious state as he was being taken out of the gap between the train and the platform.
