Platform staff rescues 5-year-old girl that fell onto train track in northern China
A member of staff at a train station in northern China rescued a 5-year-old girl that fell onto the railway track.
Video filmed in the city of Harbin in Heilongjiang Province on June 15 shows a mechanic named Wang Haifeng lifting the girl up from the tracks.
According to reports, the girl fell onto the track through a gap in between the more than 1-metre-high platform and the train.
Wang heard someone call for help, so he ran to the place where the girl fell and jumped onto the track to save her.
The girl was rescued in only 30 seconds.
The video was provided by local media with permission.
