A herd of oxen participated in the race with their owners in South India
Location: Dindugul district of Tamilnadu State in South India.
96 villagers participated in a festival with their oxen and celebrated the same in a grand manner.
People from around the villagers gathered together to celebrate the festival and also to participate in the oxen race . Drummer and folk dance was performed in the festival.
Later the oxen were released and they competed with each other with their owners to cross the end line.
The ox that came first was rewarded with a cash prize.
The gathering also helps us to grow together as a community and unity among the community says a participant of the festival.
A dust Strom was seen when the bulls raged towards the finishing line
