Although it's been compared to "polo with a headless goat," the analogy isn't quite accurate. Although the regulations differ by country, most buzkashi matches do not feature teams, a clock, or a clearly defined playing field. It's a conflict in which the horseman (traditionally, only men) who successfully drags the carcass past a predetermined point or throws it in a specific place wins.
