A tower crane lifted a worker to save a 3-year-old girl dangling from a fifth-floor balcony in northern China.

Video filmed in the city of Dalian in Liaoning Province on June 16 shows a girl hanging out of a fifth-floor balcony as her head got stuck in between the railings.

A carpenter named Li Baoyi was seen being lifted up toward the trapped girl by a tower crane which was operated by another worker named Wang Qingxiang.

Li then used one hand to hold the railings and used the other hand to attempt to push the girl back into the balcony.

Three other workers named Li Yayan, Kong Xianguo and Li Jingchun took two quilts and held them under the building in case the girl fell.

Finally, Li pushed the girl back and the girl's father who just arrived home carried the girl up.

According to reports, the workers spotted the incident and decided to rescue the girl.

When Li Baoyi was rescuing the girl, another group of workers went upstairs to knock on the girl's neighbour's door and asked them to inform the girl's parents. The girl's father then drove back home immediately.

Thanks to the heroic workers, the girl was rescued successfully.

The video was provided by local media with permission.
