Vulnerable migrants disembark in Dover: child gives thumbs-up as she happily leaves Border Force vessel
This clip, which was filmed today (June 18), shows migrants being brought to shore in Dover, a town in England’s southeastern county of Kent.
The video features images of a young man on a wheelchair, covered by a white blanket and children, disembarking the Border Force vessel.
A man gives thumbs-up, and a child replicates the gesture as she happily leaves the boat.
Recently, many migrants have crossed the English Channel. On Wednesday (June 15), more than 140 were brought to Dover, and on Tuesday (June 14) 444 arrived in Dungeness, Dover, and Ramsgate.
This comes as heated protests take place across the UK against the government's plan to deport some asylum seekers who crossed the English Channel to Rwanda.
