The Sumatran Red Jungle Fowl has been successfully bred.... this is something new
In the interior of Sumatra, in the Dharmaraya area, there is someone who has succeeded in breeding wild Sumatran jungle fowl.
her name is Sumardi, 36 years old. now he has 12 hens and 5 roosters. 3 hens are incubating their eggs. one tail is with 3 cubs.
Jungle fowl normally cannot be kept or caged. even if caught , this chicken will go on hunger strike or bang itself against the wall of the cage . no later than two days after being caught this wild chicken will die due to one of the reasons above.
Mr. Sumardi has a way of taming this wild chicken. Females or males who are somewhat tame are put together in a cage. A more tame chicken will set an example for the wild to eat and behave.
Another condition is that tame chickens should not be more dominant than wild chickens. The sign of a chicken being successfully tamed is when the wild chicken is ready to eat and can relax in the cage. Turns out this method worked well.
Tame chickens can be used as a decoy for wild chickens that are still in the forest there. Even this chicken price is up to Rp. 1,500,000.
