A stray kitten was rescued after being stuck inside a car engine.

The four-month-old white moggie was reportedly finding shelter on a busy road when it found the parked sedan in Samut Prakan province on June 15.

It quickly slid under the car and entered the engine from underneath before the driver, who was standing at a distance, could chase it away.

Rescuers were then called to the scene to help remove the tiny creature out of the vehicle.

The car owner said: ‘I was about to enter the car and go home when I saw the kitten running.

‘It went under and slipped inside the engine. It was frightened of the other passing cars.'

During the rescue operation, volunteers used a jack lift to find where the cat had been hiding.

After around 30 minutes, the kitten was found around the exhaust pipe in the car's engine and lured out. The adorable animal rescuers could be heard mimicking cat sounds to calm the frightened feline.

The cat was removed after an hour and adopted by the rescue team. It was taken the team's office so the volunteers could take care of it.
