A kind jogger rescued a pigeon drowning in a river in Thailand.

Puy Wannapa was exercising in a park with friends when she noticed the bird flapping helplessly in the water in Bangkok on June 16.

She quickly looked for a basin and scooped up the creature from the fence barrier.

The bird lover then took the bird under a tree to dry until it could fly again.

Puy said: ‘The bird needed help so we didn't hesitate to do so. I'm just glad we rescued it before it was too late.'

Bangkok was known for its nightlife scene but apart from clubs and bars, the Southeast Asian city has sprawling parks and green spaces where wildlife thrives.
