Vietnamese doctor removed the 10cm long live leech that lived in the man's nose
Vietnamese doctor removed the 10cm long live leech that lived in the man's nose in Tuyen Quang, Vietnam.
According to the doctor, the man came to the hospital with pain on the inside of his nose. The doctor used an endoscope and discovered that there was a leech living in the man's nasal canal.
Doctors quickly removed the live leech from the man's nasal canal. The leech is about 10cm long and is clinging to the man's nasal tube to suck blood.
The man said about a week ago he went to the river to swim. This is probably what caused the leech to get into his nose.
The doctor said that swimming in rivers and streams is very easy for creatures to get into the nose and ears without protective gear such as goggles, swimming cap.
Fortunately, the leech did not get deep inside the man's nose.
The video was filmed with the patient's permission.
