Firefighters rescue elderly man clinging onto debris in flood-stricken southern China
Firefighters rescued an elderly man trapped in floodwater in southern China.
Video filmed in the city of Jingdezhen in Jiangxi Province on June 20 shows an elderly man holding a steel plate floating along in the deep floodwater.
Firefighters approached the elderly man and brought him onto an inflatable boat.
Due to the rainstorm, the city was submerged by 2.5-metre-deep floodwater.
The elderly man accidentally fell into the floodwater and held a steel plate to float down the road for more than 10 minutes.
Fortunately, the elderly man was transferred to safe area and he was not injured seriously.
