Thousands of farmers drove their tractors across the Netherlands to protest against the government's plans to cut nitrogen oxide and ammonia emissions, which could make many farmers drastically reduce their number of livestock.

The protesting farmers caused traffic and chaos on highways as they arrived in the agricultural village of Store, about 70 kilometers east of Amsterdam.
