Rescuers saved two men trapped on a cliff in eastern China.

Video filmed in the city of Shaoxing in Zhejiang Province on June 17 shows rescuers tied by safety ropes being lowered down to the bottom of the around 100-metre-high cliff before approaching the two trapped men.

A group of rescuers on the top of the cliff then pulled a 100-metre-long rope attached to the two men together to bring them back to safety.

After a more than five-hour rescue, the two trapped men were saved and sent to hospital by an ambulance.

According to local residents, there were five pools of water on the cliff and three people were playing there.

One person's slippers were washed away, so another person attempted to take them back but slipped into another pool.

The third person tried to save the other but fell into the pool with him.

The video was provided by local media with permission.
