Russia has attacked the Ukrainian capital of Kyiv striking at least two residential buildings in the Shevchenkovsky district.

This footage from the ground shows the aftermaths of a rocket attack on a nine-storey apartment building.

A seven-year-old girl is rescued from the rubble and is transported on a stretcher by medical workers while other people still trapped under the rubble are waiting to be extracted.

The residential area was evacuated and searches for survivors are ongoing. There had been no major strikes on Kyiv since early June and before that April.

Rescuers got the girl out of the rubble and transported her with the help of a medical stretcher, handing over to medical workers.
Now work is underway to rescue people from the rubble.
There are 22 fire and rescue equipment and 78 personnel on site.
Part of the residents of the house in the Shevchenkovsky district was evacuated, search and rescue operations continue.Klitschko, the mayor of Kiev, reported that rescuers and doctors continue to work on the spot. Those people who have already been hospitalized are in a satisfactory condition.

"Friends! In a residential building in the Shevchenkovsky district, where the rocket hit, search and rescue work continues. There are people under the rubble. Some of the residents were evacuated, two victims were hospitalized. Rescuers continue to work, doctors are on the spot," Klitschko said.

After that, he added that rescuers managed to get the child out of the rubble:

"A seven-year-old girl was pulled out from under the rubble of a residential building in the Shevchenko district. She is alive. Now her mother is being rescued."
