Russia has attacked the Ukrainian capital of Kyiv striking at least two residential buildings and destroying a kindergarten.

Footage taken by rescuers shows the building's windows totally shattered by fragments of missiles and a huge crater in the middle of what looks like a residential area.

Thankfully, the kindergarten was empty as the attack occurred on a Sunday around 6AM local time.

The building of the garden and the houses around are windowless and shattered by fragments. There is a huge crater at the landing site.

Since today is Sunday and the strike occurred at 6 am, the site was empty. On another day, dozens of Ukrainian children would be playing here. They are just lucky!
The kindergarten building itself was partially damaged, the rocket hit 20 meters from the kindergarten building. Destroyed several garages that were nearby
