A middle-aged tourist was forced to apologise after allegedly groping a beauty queen's bottom in Thailand.

The unidentified holidaymaker was seen following Kasama Suetong, 25, in a fluorescent yellow dress up a set of steps before touching her arm following the event in Pattaya on June 25.

Glamorous Kasama, who came third in the Miss Universe Thailand 2021 competition, immediately told one of the organisers who confronted the man.

The foreigner tried to flee but the woman, in a black fancy dress costume, pulled him by his shirt and forced him to apologise.

Footage shows the foreigner in the blue vest sheepishly apologising after being confronted by the apparently distressed beauty queen and the event organisers.

Speaking publicly about the incident, beauty queen Kasama said: ‘This foreigner grabbed my arm and touched my bottom.

'I was surprised. I was not expecting anybody to do that to me. I don't know why he did that or what he wanted.

‘No matter what gender, no one deserves harassment. Don't be silent. Cry for help if it happens.'

The contestants had just given an interview for the Pride event held by the beach when the foreigner wearing a blue shirt allegedly pulled Kasama's arm so he could touch her.

He was already walking away when Miss Universe Thailand director Piyakorn Sankosik and staff followed him and pulled him back by his shirt so he could explain to the girl.

The man was then forced to pay respect in the traditional Thai gesture of pressing his hands together and bowing to the beauty queen.

No charges were filed against the tourist but the beauty queen warned women to be vigilant and call out harassment no matter what gender.

He left the area following the confrontation and the matter was not reported to the police.
