Fisherman rescue stingray stranded in nets in Thailand
Kind fishermen freed a stingray that was caught in their net.
The magnificent marine creature was dragged into the ropes while the commercial fishing vessel was trawling off the coast of Satun province, southern Thailand, on June 10.
By-catch from the fishing business is the world's biggest killer of ocean wildlife but the workers seized the chance to at least save one of the animals from the deep.
Footage shows how several crew members plunged into the sea to untangle the stingray and watch it float away to freedom.
Onlooker Ham Kung said: 'We're careful to release any fish from our net that shouldn't be there. We only pull up what we have been tasked with catching.'
