Rices Fire burns over 900 acres in Nevada County, California, evacuation orders remain in effect
The Rices Fire broke out on Tuesday, June 28 and by Wednesday, it burnt over 900 acres, and four structures were destroyed. Evacuation orders remained in effect for zones that included French Corral, Birchville, Sweetland, Rice’s Crossing, and Buttermilk.
