Brave student activists held a guerilla protest decrying the brutal military rule in Myanmar.

Footage shows the group, composed of members of various youth organisations, marching along the streets of Yangon City on June 26, while waving their flags and holding up a large banner that said: 'We win as along as we don't give up.'

Using a megaphone, they called for the release of political prisoners who have been 'arbitrarily detained and violated' by state forces.

The struggle between armed militias and the Burmese military has intensified amid the political turmoil in Myanmar caused by the ousting of former leader Aung San Suu Kyi in February 2021. Around the country, thousands of civilians are said to have been killed during military crackdowns on protests.
