Herd of yaks cause traffic jam blocking road in Tibet
This is the bizarre moment a herd of yaks blocked cars on a road in Tibet.
Footage shows the hairy farm animals sauntering in the path of vehicles driving along the National Highway G318 connecting Sichuan province in neighbouring China and Tibet on June 15.
They occupied the asphalt as their caretaker corraled the younger yaks that had strayed from the group.
Yaks are important livestock in the Tibetan Plateau. They are raised for their milk, meat, and dung, which is used by villagers as fuel. They are often used to carry goods across the mountainous region.
