Officials rescue two men from well in northern India

Fire brigade workers along with police rescued two men who fell in a well in northern India's Uttar Pradesh.

The incident took place in Suran village in the Auraiya district on July 1.

Visuals showed a group of people standing around a well trying to pull a man out, with the help of rope and bamboo sticks. He was pulled out of the well and the rope around him was untied.

According to reports, locals informed the police that two brothers, Vipin and Vijay, have fallen into the well while taking out their goat, who had fallen inside. Immediately after receiving the information, a joint team of Kotwali Auraiya and Fire Police Auraiya reached the spot and rescued both the men, who were sent to District Hospital for treatment. The goat was also rescued safely by the team.

It was reported that their condition was critical due to the poisonous gases present in the well. They are out of danger now.

Inspector in charge of the police station, Shri Ravi Srivastava, U.N. Praveen, H.C. Anil Kumar, Om Narayan, and Fire Police Auraiya, Fire Safety Officer Atul Tripathi, Leading Fireman Maan Singh, Fireman Chandrabhan Singh, Fireman Bhanu Pratap Singh and Fireman Gajendra Singh were a part of the rescue team.
