Early this morning, not long after midnight, units were dispatched to a first alarm working fire in Lamplight acres at the northern edge of Kulpmont. Local police quickly confirmed a working fire with the alpha/delta corner fully involved and advised incoming units of a hydrant directly in front of the structure. Atlas engine 21 was the first unit in hitting the hydrant than using their deck gun to knock down the bulk of the fire within the first ten minutes of the blaze. Crews than spent the following time chasing hotspots and checking for extension into what was left of the structure. As of now, no cause has been determined but a Pennsylvania State Police Fire Marshal will be investigating the cause of the blaze.
