The driver and a cleaner of a grocery truck were rescued after the vehicle fell into a culvert in central India's Madhya Pradesh.

The incident happened on the Betul Parasia State Highway in Betul district on July 4.

Visuals showed a person trapped inside the overturned vehicle. The vehicle was seen in a ravaged condition, due to it crashing and falling into the culvert. The person was seen rescued by another man, who pulled him out of the truck.

It was learnt that the truck had loaded in grocery items from Indore and was travelling to Parasia in the Chhindwara district. It lost control in the Bagdona area and fell into a culvert.

Locals, upon finding out about the incident, dialled the emergency number after which both the driver and the vehicle's cleaner were rescued.

The two were admitted to the Ghoradongri hospital.
