Paraglider drops phone hundreds of metres taking selfie gone wrong
A girl's mobile phone was accidentally dropped from hundreds of metres in the air after trying to take a selfie while paragliding in northern China.
Video filmed in the city of Shenyang in Liaoning Province on June 20 shows a girl holding a selfie stick with her phone attached to it to film herself when she was paragliding.
Since the coach thought the selfie stick was a bit short and the view was not good, he took the selfie stick and tried to extend it out. However, the phone accidentally fell of the stick and drop from more than 100-metre-high sky.
After the girl and the coach landed, five people spent more than 20 minutes to find the phone.
It was reportedly a Huawei phone and the girl has used it for three years.
Since the phone had a case on it and it also hit the tree leaves before landing on the more than 10-centimetre-thick pine needles covering on the ground, it was not damaged at all.
The video was provided by local media with permission.
